Pizza Fries are one of those foods that instantly bring me back home. I don't know if they're a Wisconsin thing or a Midwest thing, but I grew up thinking everyone knew what Pizza Fries were.
I was even more spoiled than I realized because I grew up in the town where Tombstone Pizzas were made! It wasn't until we moved to Oregon that I discovered Pizza Fries weren't on every menu and that not everyone shared my love for this cheesy masterpiece.
I'm a girl who loves pizza in just about every form, but Pizza Fries are still near the top of my list.
If you've never had them before, here's the idea: it's basically a cheese pizza... without the pizza sauce. I know, I know. It sounds completely backwards! But instead of baking the sauce on the pizza, you dunk every cheesy bite into warm pizza sauce.
Trust me on this one.

For our farm-fresh version, we swap the traditional pizza sauce on the crust for homemade Garlic Scape Butter. Then we pile on plenty of gooey cheese, bake it until it's golden and bubbly, and serve it alongside our favorite pizza sauce for dipping.
The buttery garlic flavor, stretchy cheese, and tangy pizza sauce are the perfect combination. It's simple, nostalgic comfort food with a fresh garden twist—and once you try it, you'll understand why Pizza Fries have been one of my favorites for years.
