Blue Shackamaxon beans are an ancient Lenni Lenape pole bean.  We were gifted a start for this wonderful bean and will add it to our “forever” garden lineup.  These beans are prolific, beautiful and tasty too!  The green pods quickly fill with beans then turn a purple/blue color as they bulge with beans.  We love them!
